I was born and raised in Eau Claire graduating from Memorial high school before heading to Bethel College in Arden Hills, MN a suburb of North St. Paul. My wife, then girlfriend Elizabeth “Beth” also graduated from Memorial before attending the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
After graduation from college we moved back home to Eau Claire where we were married, moved into a rental, and a month later I started my first small business. At the same time Beth began her career as a teacher in Eau Claire.
About a year later Beth and I worked out a deal to purchase my childhood home from my mom, and we spent the next ten years remodeling it ourselves, before moving to our current residence in Fall Creek where we have called home for the last 11 years. We have two teenage children who are both three sport athletes, so we spend a lot of time watching them compete. I currently own and operate a small insurance agency in Altoona, and Beth is a third grade teacher in the Eau Claire Public Schools.
When I'm not spending time on my business, my family, my church, or my community, I can usually be found with Beth and our kids at a sporting event, or with them in the woods hunting.
I have been to 28 countries on five continents and have visited 48 of the 50 states. I love to travel, but I love returning home even more. Western Wisconsin is our home, it is where our parents planted our roots, and where we have chosen to plant our children’s roots. We live here because we love the people, we love the land, and we love Wisconsin.

I am 100% pro-life, pro private property, and pro-2nd Amendment. Our country has succeeded because it was built on these foundational ideas that limit government and empower people.
The right to life is our first and most important right; we must defend life from conception to natural death.
Our private property – our homes and our possessions– are the products of our labor. Government must be prohibited from infringing upon our persons, homes, and ability to make a living.
The 2nd amendment safeguards all of our rights by ensuring that we have the ability to defend our lives, our liberty, and our property.
As your next state senator, I will author and support legislation that protects our natural rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
Public safety is a core function of government. It is unacceptable that crime is on the rise and people no longer feel safe in their neighborhoods. As your state senator, I will work to make sure that we hold criminals accountable, support the efforts of law enforcement, and protect our communities.
I will sponsor bail reform legislation that will work to keep dangerous criminals off the streets, and I will stand with our police against the leftists who want to replace our police with their social justice experiments.
Parents, not special interests, should be the driving force in education. As a parent, I care deeply about my children’s future – and I know that every child is unique. That is why I will sponsor legislation to provide universal school choice in Wisconsin while also encouraging more options within public education – because one size does not fit all.
Every Wisconsinite should be able to count on a fair and honest election system – with no loopholes.
I will sponsor legislation that will eliminate the loopholes used by liberals that led to an expansion of “indefinitely confined” voters, unsecured ballot boxes, and ballot harvesting.
Schools should teach young people how to think, not what to think. That is why I will sponsor legislation to eliminate politically motivated, ideological curriculum like CRT from our schools. I reject it, and its unabashedly racist ideas that white children are oppressors, and children of color are the oppressed, for no other reason than the color of their skin.
With a $3.6 billion projected surplus, now is the time for serious reform. I will work with my colleagues and the next Governor on a flatter, fairer tax structure that lowers taxes and sends less of our money to Madison.
As your state senator, I will work to shrink government. As Ronald Regan once said, there is a direct correlation between the growth of government, and the loss of liberty. I believe we must reverse generations of government growth in order to preserve our status as the land of the free.
Joe Biden’s reckless spending is driving up prices here at home. Wisconsin needs to lead the country by example. I’ll work to cut spending, reduce regulations, and get our economy moving again! We can’t afford more of the same from Washington D.C. and Madison. I will limit government, to restore prosperity!
